[Premiere Day! at long freaking last!]

Season 3 predictions:

OK, well, I am going to put  most of this under a cut as it's speculation and a zillion other things;I may   do another post on this after I've gotten to watch a couple of episodes;however this is a show that can be hella twisty and hella dark( Mizumono, much?!) so I could be completely wrong about anything that is past the cut.

But I  have to say:This is  a day that I've been looking forwards to for a very long time(a year plus!) and us Fannibals are going to enjoy it together-we've been blowing  up Twitter for the past few days-it's crazy today(and with good reason, of course!)

So now to the rest of the post:

We have gotten a lot of spoilery content(photos, promos and  the like.) It's hard to know what context to  put them into(we already know that we are going to have a lot of flashbacks especially in the first couple of episodes;and the first episode takes place over 4 different time periods.).

I'm speaking specifically of the pictures of Will with Abigail-which I am almost positive is a memory palace/imagining scene) and the scenes with Will and Hannibal hanging upside down in a meat locker(which suggests some sort of practical joke(?) on Mason Verger's part.

The other thing I'm looking forwards to seeing how the different factions(Will/Will and Jack, Alana/Chilton and Margot)  approach trying to catch Hannibal. Nothing is as it seems-we see Chiyoh seemingly wanting to help Will, but then she has a gun pointed at his back. I don't trust her(and we see Will kissing her.. presumably to get on her "good side". But it backfires on Will, by the look of it.

I've learned not to overanalyse pictures from various episodes/BTS scenes as tempted as I am to do so..during S2 Bryan Fuller tweeted a picture of Hugh Dancy covered in blood, holding gloves. Someone said that it looked like he was missing a hand . I said he was holding gloves.

I got a pretty stern rebuke for that but when the synopisis for that episode came out,I realised that I was right. So..yeah.And I always wonder if if the person that gave me trouble was like "Oh yeah!" when they saw it. If you saw the episode, not having hands would make no sense whatsoever. :P)

As far as the finale....I can see Will getting his face screwed up..but I think we'll get a scene with him at home(maybe alone..Molly has left him perhaps.... and then a fade out and then Molly getting a phone call that Will has gone missing(don't really see him faking his own death really.)

In the books,Will and Molly's relationship comes apart slowly and surely. In this version of the story, she encourages him to go back to the FBI when Jack asks for his help on the Red Dragon case(in the book it's quite the opposite..)

So what could potentially change that?I could see some sort of tragedy, involving his step-son, or Molly(or both of them)-but I may be way off on that-as in the book Molly will be probably be the one that kills Dolarhyde....

Maybe the coming apart of their marriage will be a gradual thing-there will be some sort of stressor in their(otherwise happy) marriage.

The first thing that comes right to mind(and I hope it *isn't* where they go because it was one of my least favourite things about the book) is Molly's late husband's in laws. I get that Walter(in the book it was Willy-confused? yeah, I know. :P). I get that their grandson is their only connection to their late son, but still..) And that's reflected(in the book) in Will's relationship  with Willy, which is not the best(just guessing but I get the feeling that Willy spent a lot of time with his grandparents and the grandparents didn't exactly like Will-Will wasn't what they wanted for a stepfather for their grandson..but w/e.)
