[I totally called it.]

Some of you may remember that I blogged about Cleve and Erica Rengo,the family that had their three kids taken away because of neglect, and because Cleve and Erica had a long history of domestic abuse issues?Well, they're back in the news.

The reason they got their kids taken away in the first place is because they were choosing to treat their children's health issues naturally. One of the children had eczema that wasn't clearing up;their twins, who were a year younger than the older kid, were born at home. Erica had no prenatal healthcare when she was pregnant.None.She didn't even know that she was pregnant with twins until she delivered!

Erica  delivered her twins at home. Cleve and Erica have claimed that this is one of the reasons that they have been "targeted" by CPS in Washington.

Cleve does not believe in modern medicine and believes that is is possible to pray away illnesses. He is also very possessive of Erica.He is a street preacher and apparently doesn't have much(if any) income-maybe they're living on Cleve's dad's SSI? Several people have offered to help Erica get out of her situation, but Cleve obviously holds some sort of sway over her. Erica's mother has offered several bits of information, including that one of the twins has a permanent disability due to being premature(and because  their mother didn't have any prenatal care.)

Add to this, Erica and Cleve have been living in Cleve's father's house-a one-bedroom apartment.

Initially the kids were taken away from the parents; several weeks later,they were given back to Cleve and Erica, but with lots of conditions. At the time that the kids were given back to Cleve and Erica, I said that this would not be the last we heard of them, and I was right.

Apparently, Cleve and Erica were not following the court orders, and CPS was about to take their kids away, so they fled to California. The cops caught up with them, and Erica headbutted one of the cops that tried to arrest her. I seriously doubt CPS is going to want to give the kids back to Cleve and Erica at this point. The kids should be with a family member(the grandmother lives out of state but is aware of what is going on..she has been demonised by Cleve and Erica's supporters(of which  there are many), calling her a"turncoat" and much much worse.
